We are inspired by traditional French classic viennoiserie and pâtisserie such as croissants, macarons, and strawberry tarts.

We also love making modern creations such as cronuts, and creating new and exciting treats using the finest seasonal ingredients available to us in Central Otago.

You can find us at 20 Alison Ave – just a five minute drive from Wanaka. We also bake fresh for the Wanaka Artisan Market once a week. You can also find us there every Thursday from 3-6pm on Ardmore Street.

Pembroke Patisserie began with a second hand 20ft shipping container fitted out with a commercial kitchen. While working part-time as a chef at a luxury Wanaka lodge, Matt started making pastries to sell at the market and to local cafes.

Matt has almost 20 years cooking experience as a Pastry Chef and Head Chef in New Zealand and abroad. He has a passion for baking and desserts.

Kirsty has also worked for many years’ front of house in restaurants, bars, cafés and hotels. In Christchurch, Kirsty worked as a cheesemaker, studied French and completed a Master’s Degree in European Studies at Canterbury University and Matt was Head Chef at the popular Sezn Restaurant, before its destruction in the 2010 Christchurch earthquake.
