We are looking for passionate hospo people to join us for the long term. Most roles are permanent, and we are looking for a minimum six-month commitment from people who want to grow with our team. A valid work visa & reliable transport are essential.

We operate 7 days per week with operating hours between 7am-3.30pm. You must be available weekends and school holidays.

In this role, you are the face of Pembroke Pâtisserie. You’ll create a warm and memorable experience for every visitor, preparing exceptional coffee and sharing your passion for our products. We’re looking for a positive team player who thrives in a supportive, fast-paced environment.

  • Be the welcoming face of our brand, greeting customers, taking orders, and handling payments. 
  • Prepare and serve our full range of beverages to an exceptional standard, taking pride in every coffee.
  • Maintain a pristine and well-stocked service area, including setup, clean-down, and proactive restocking.
  • Be a reliable & supportive team player, ready to jump in and help colleagues during busy periods.

PASTRY chef

Do you thrive on the buzz of a busy kitchen? Are you a reliable team player ready to roll up your sleeves, keep things organized and support a crew that’s passionate about great food?

An opportunity exists to join the kitchen team at our busy patisserie in Albert Town. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Pastry Chef or baker. This is a permanent, full-time position. 

We are open 7 days per week so you must be able to work weekends and school holidays. No evenings.

The role is suitable for a candidate with a NZ Certificate in Baking Level 3-4 or Le Cordon Bleu Certificate, or industry equivalent from another country.

Ideally you will have 2-3 years of experience in a commercial bakery and pastry kitchen and will be proficient in dough lamination, croissant, bread, sourdough and decorating.

You’ll need to be:

  • Reliable

  • Punctual

  • Accurate

  • Creative

  • Innovative

  • Good time management

  • Use established systems and routines

  • Able to ensure quality control is consistent.
