Cake Ordering Policies

Cancellation policy

All our cakes are made especially for you, therefore once production is under way, we are unable to offer a refund for cancellations. The following cancellation fees apply at the discretion of Pembroke Patisserie.

  1. Cancellation of orders with more than 48 hours’ notice may receive a 50% refund. Orders are taken on a first in first served basis and bookings can fill up fast. If you cancel your order in the production line, your order has taken a place in the production line that could have gone to another customer, which means we miss out on both orders.
  2. Cancellations received with less than 48 hours’ notice will not be eligible for a refund. This is because we need to order ingredients or prepare components of the cake in advance which means there has already been ingredients and labour invested in your order.

We want you to be completely happy with anything you purchase from Pembroke Patisserie. If in the unlikely event you are unhappy with your cake, refunds requested due to quality of flavour will only be determined at the discretion of our staff and based upon a returned cake. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a refund on a cake that has been consumed.

Should we be unable to fulfill your order for any reason, we will notify you by phone or email as soon as possible and you will receive a full refund.

Payment policy

We accept payment by cash, bank transfer or credit card. Payment must be made in full before an order can commence.

All purchases made through the Pembroke Patisserie online shop are final and by proceeding to checkout and entering your payment details you are agreeing to these terms.

Transportation

You are responsible for the safe transportation of your cake and Pembroke Patisserie does not accept responsibility for any accidents or damage that occurs once the cake has been collected. Please pick up your cake at the time specified on your order. We cannot give refunds if a mishap occurs in transit. All cakes will be packaged in a cardboard box. Do not place anything on top of the box. We advise that the safest way to transport your cake is to either place on the floor or in the boot of the car, ensuring it cannot slide around.

Allergens

We are proud to say we use only best, freshest ingredients and traditional baking methods. There is no skimping on the butter, eggs and cream here. All cakes are prepared in a kitchen which uses eggs, dairy, wheat, nuts, soy, seafood. We are unable to substitute ingredients and make no claims that any of our products are allergen free. We take your health seriously and understand that some ingredients in our products may cause an allergic reaction in some people, for this reason we cannot guarantee they are “free” from or “allergy friendly” because we use these ingredients throughout our kitchen.

Decorations

We’ve used our skills, experience and creativity to design and produce a range of cakes that are delicious, complete and decorated in a way we think makes our cakes appealing to look at and eat. We’ve done all the hard work for you! We cannot mix and match cakes, substitute ingredients, flavours, colours, add drips, drizzles, unicorn horns, superheroes, dinosaurs, sparklers, candles, grooms, brides or other unexpected decorations. Feel free to bling it up any way you like once you get it home!

Storage

Your cake is best stored in a cool, dark place. If your cake is stored in the fridge, bring the cake out about half an hour before serving to allow the cake to come up to room temperature before cutting.

Cutting your cake

We recommend you watch our instructional video as a guide on how to portion your cake to make the most out of your delicious investment. Link can be found here. (link to cake cutting guide video)

Leftovers

Store any left-over slices in an airtight container in the fridge. Cakes will keep in the fridge for up to four days. If you freeze the cake, cut it into slices first, wrap in cling film then freeze for up to one month.
