We have been working hard behind the scenes over the last few months!!
It’s been a long time coming actually. It takes a lot of work to develop a new product, let alone an entire product range. But, after a lot of testing- I know it’s a tough life, we are very excited to be now offering a range of our very own delicious handmade cakes and gateaux, available for you to order online on our website and collect in store!!
This has been a long time coming for many of you as we have continuously been asked to make cakes for your celebrations and events for many years now, and now finally we can! Perfect for your next birthday, dinner party, office morning tea shout, we have created a small but varied cake menu which we think has covered all the bases. From chocolate, gluten free, carrot, banana strawberry and lemon, there is something for everyone.
There are two sizes available to choose from in each flavour: an 18 cm (7”) round cake which will give you 8-10 slices or a 23cm (9″ ) round cake which will give you 12-16 slices.
Our cakes are made fresh, to order just for you using only the best ingredients- no freezer cakes here.

Chocolate Mud Cake
Check out our original chocolate mud cake. Rich and dense, this velvety two layered dark chocolate cake is one for the real chocolate lover. Made with 55% dark chocolate and iced with a traditional dark chocolate ganache and a touch of gold leaf for that extra sparkle, this is the celebration cake worth celebrating. The posh frock of cakes.
Carrot Cake
Try our classic carrot cake. With a pop of walnuts and rum soaked raisins and a not too sweet cream cheese icing, this cake is soft and spongy with a hint of cinnamon to spice it up! It’s actually part of your five a day. You’re welcome.
Lemon Meringue Sponge Cake
For a tangy and tart surprise, try the Lemon Meringue sponge cake. This two layered soft as a pillow sponge cake is filled with zesty lemon curd and lemon buttercream. Garnished with a toasty meringue and lemon zest. Your mouth will explode. It’s that good.
Brownie Cake
Finally, for our gluten free friends, our world famous in Wanaka brownie cake is the perfect cake for your gf bff. This is a deliciously rich and chocolatey flourless brownie cake made with dark chocolate & almond meal topped with salted caramel & hazelnut praline.
Strawberries & Vanilla sponge gateau
Ohhh, the Strawberries & Vanilla sponge gateau. This is a dreamboat of a cake. It’s like summer in your mouth! A luscious two layered sponge cake filled with a tart aromatic strawberry gel and a luxurious light vanilla mascarpone cream filling. This soft, light as a cloud sponge cake is garnished with buttercream, fresh strawberries (when available) and vanilla & raspberry macaron. You will fall head over heels in love with this baby.
Banana Cake with Salted Caramel
Banana & salted caramel cake, could there be a better combo than banana and caramel? We think not. A two layered banana cake filled with fresh bananas, salted caramel, and garnished with banana chips and lashings of our famous salted caramel is heavenly for the caramel lovers.
