“I am thrilled to be included in this list with these incredible, extraordinary and hard-working women”. In 2023 Cuisine Magazine editor Kelli Brett founded the Women In Food & Drink Aotearoa New Zealand (WIFDNZ) network. This year there were more than 400 women nominated to be included on the list of women who have inspired them in the past year.

“I’ve worked in the hospitality industry my entire career It’s a challenging, rewarding and interesting industry. I love so much about it and love that I get to work alongside my husband of 15 years, the best baker and chef around. A career in hospitality isn’t easy, but it is fun a lot of the time. I think that is what has kept me involved for so long. The people that you meet, the stories I could tell!”

We are so proud of what we have created at Pembroke Patisserie over the last 10 years. It has become a place where our passion for patisserie and hospitality can shine through. Where we can create and provide beautiful food, service and coffee while celebrating our local environment and supporting other producers in our region too. Our community embraces us, and we embrace them back. It’s a beautiful relationship we have between our customers, community, staff and suppliers. We all support each other!

If you would like to hear more about Kirsty’s story and career so far, come along to the Wanaka Business Chamber Women’s coffee morning at Edgewater on Thursday 13th June 2024 from 10am-11:30am to hear more! Book here
