Stockist Feature: Cardrona Valley General Store

Saturday morning in the Valley.

It’s been a little while since our last blog, that’s not because there’s nothing happening- but because there’s been so much! It’s been busy here in Wanaka and this month we welcomed our newest stockist – the Cardrona Valley General Store. So on a lovely sunny Wanaka Saturday morning, Matt & I took the family for a drive up the Cardrona Valley to check it out.

Just two minutes from the Cardrona ski field, the General Store opened last September and is a neat little place to stop. The lovingly renovated shop sells carefully selected local specialty items alongside your typical general store staples. You can relax outside on the picnic tables, sip your flat white and watch the world go by. They even make wood fired pizzas in the courtyard in the afternoons. This will be a welcome après-ski treat in the winter for sure! Margaret the store owner is so welcoming, the coffee is hot and the valley view is bliss.

Next time you are cruising through Cardrona, take a pit stop at the delightful little general store.
